How are The Pure Wraps Coconuts Wraps used?
The Pure Wraps are used like a tortilla right out of the package without thawing, warming, steaming or adding water. Just fill, roll, and enjoy! You can make a burrito, sushi, appetizer, snack or dessert. The Pure Wraps hold warm and cold food very well. What are The Pure Wraps ingredients?
Simply two (2) ingredients. It is 99%+ Coconut* (coconut “meat” and young coconut water), and Himalayan Salt (Curry version contains Certified Organic Curry) dehydrated to make a strong, flexible, and tasty wrap with a soft mouth feel.
*Made in USA version is Certified Organic and made overseas is Non-GMO Project Verified and Kosher.
Why is Himalayan Salt used in The Pure Wraps?
Himalayan Salt is a safe, beneficial, and a natural time-tested preservative that gives The Pure Wraps its strength, taste, long shelf life at room temperature and great mouth feel. The key ingredient Himalayan Salt is mined and is not from the polluted oceans. Therefore, it avoids plastic pollution in the oceans unlike sea salt.
Are they Non-GMO?
Yes. We have a Pure Wraps versions that is Non-GMO Project Verified and USDA Organic.
What is the shelf-life of The Pure Wraps?
The estimated BEST-BY-DATE is 12 months for the Original and 11 months for the Curry from the date it was crafted.
Should The Pure Wraps coconut wraps be frozen?
No. We believe freezing degrades its nutrition and they can crack while frozen. Coconuts don't come from frozen environments, so they don't have much experience being frozen in the wild!
How do you store The Pure Wraps?
They should be stored near room temperature and away from dry circulating air over long periods of time for optimal convenience. Refrigeration after opening is not required and we recommend that you never freeze them.
Are they made in a Gluten-Free, Corn Free, Dairy Free, Tree Nut Free, and Soy Free kitchen?
Yes, the only food items entering the kitchen are Coconut, Himalayan Salt, and other ingredients that are NOT major food allergens. Note: Coconut is a Fruit/Drupe/Seed from a palm, not a tree.
Are they Vegan/Plant-based?
Do we use plastic in our packaging?
No. We use Non-GMO cellulose packaging with a piece of non-bleached parchment paper in between the wraps. The cellulose packaging does not contain BPA, BPS, or over 16 derivatives of Bisphenol. Additionally, there are no phthalates or other endocrine disruptors.
Our packaging does not contribute to the plastic pollution in the ocean. This is better for people and the planet compared to plastic. It is biodegradable and compostable.
How can you use The Pure Wraps coconut wraps for school lunches, work and travel?
The Pure Wraps are great for school lunches, work and travel because they are very portable. If you are preparing school or work lunches, we recommend that you assemble them with your choice of filling just prior to consumption. They wrap like tortillas, but if they are filled too early with moisture containing ingredients (like mayonnaise, oil, mustard, etc.) they will absorb that moisture and can become soggy. Therefore, we recommend that you limit the amount of refrigeration for The Pure Wraps (filled) to two hours or less. The ideal way to use The Pure Wraps for school and work lunches as well as travel is to transport them separately from the filling and assemble ingredients just before serving.
Is Salt good for you/diabetic friendly?
The right salt processed in the right manner is good for you based upon trusted and independent third-party professionals. The body absolutely needs the right salt and the right amount (much higher than most believe). We strongly suggest researching this for yourself at www.mercola.com and/or buying the book The Salt Fix by Dr. James DiNicolantonio. You will find they believe as we do that sugar is the main culprit and not salt for our many problems.
